Who can get food stamps?
All kinds of people. Maybe even you.

You may be able to get food stamps if you are:

• working
• unemployed
• homeless or living with others
• an immigrant
• 60 or older or disabled
• an adult with or without children
• a student
• an AmeriCorps member

You don't have to be on welfare to get food stamps. In fact, you can get food stamps even if you own a car and your own home.

Getting food stamps depends on your income and expenses, the money you have saved, and how many people live in your household.
