Benefits Will Increase April 1, 2009!
The recent stimulus bill included money for 3SquaresVT. The increase will go into effect April 1, 2009. Participants can expect the following monthly benefit increases based on household size:

The minimum benefit for households of 1 or 2 will increase from $14 to $16.
The increase will be automatically added to EBT cards or cash benefit accounts. Participants do not need to do anything.
Starting immediately, able-bodied adults without children are no longer required to work for benefits.
